After Padmaavat Movie Made on Queen of Jhansi’s Life Faces
Opposition in India
Another Bollywood Movie appears to have fallen prey to the wrath of extremist Hindu gatherings in India after the Padmavat disaster.
Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi, featuring Kangana Ranaut as the ruler, is confronting claims of twisting history and having shocking scenes including Kangana, India Today reported.
The movie depends on the life of Rani Laxmibai and demonstrates the connection amongst her and a British officer, a Brahmin group has claimed.
The gathering cautioned the movie producers in a letter that the movie’s shooting should not be allowed in Rajasthan till the complete information on the historical ground of the story is made accessible.
The movie makers invalidated the claims and said the movie does not depict anything objectionable.
The movie doesn’t depict anything objectionable about Rani Laxmibai and nor has the movie mutilated the history in any way. The movie exhibits Rani Laxmibai in a most respectful way and is an uplifting story which each child and each individual from a family would love to see, the filmakers said.
