The researchers study the results on 1,522 men and 1,104 women aged between 32 to 81 years of the age.
The study was examining the quantitative computed tomography measures of bone and relating it to the dairy intake in individual participants.
These measures are providing information on the bone geometry and compartment-specific bone density, both of which are important in determining factors of the bone strength. A positive trend has seen in the relationship between dairy consumption and a bine strength, and this is remaining independent of the levels of vitamin D serum in the body.
