DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES! Dubai airport was the world’s busiest for worldwide
travelers in 2017 for the fourth year running, with 88.2 million travellers, the United Arab
Emirates’ state news organization WAM said Monday.
Worldwide traffic at the UAE airport expanded by 4.6 million travelers contrasted with the earlier year, WAM said, despite a laptop ban temporarily imposed on its long-haul flights to the United States.
A noteworthy transit hub situated on transcontinental air courses, Dubai is one of a few Gulf-based airports to have encountered prodigious development in recent years.
Dubai airport, the base for UAE bearer Emirates, outperformed London’s Heathrow airport in terms of international passengers in 2014 and has kept up its lead since.
The United States in March a year ago forced a restriction on laptops and tablet PCs inside the cabin on inbound flights from a few Middle Eastern and North African countries including the United Arab Emirates.
But Emirates airline in July reported it had won an exception from the restriction for flights from its Dubai hub after implementing new safety efforts.
