Easy Grilled Marinated Steakhouse Kebabs Recipe
Don’t get me wrong, I definitely think it has something to do with the skewer but the simple ingredients. Simple marinade and then the whole grilling thing that omits a lot of dish washing plays a hand in it too.
- 2lbs. sirloin steak, cut into bite size cubes
- 1 red, orange and green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 large red onion, cut into cubes
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¾ tsp ground black pepper
- 2½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup tamari
In a large bowl combine garlic, salt, black pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and tamari, and whisk while pouring in the olive oil. Place the peppers, onions and cubed sirloin into the marinade. Toss to coat and let it sit for a few hours. Keep the skewers soaked in water for 30-45 minutes before using.
Then skewer the steak and peppers alternating with the red onion until all the steak is skewered. On a hot preheated grill, place the skewers down and immediately reduce the temperature to medium-medium-high. Turn occasionally until there is a nice char on the outside. Remove and let it rest for five minutes before serving.
So uncover that grill and make sure you have plenty of gas or charcoal, because these Grilled Steakhouse Kebabs are great for any weeknight or backyard BBQ.
